This summer, our school's World Scholar's Cup teams went to compete at the Global Round in Beijing. As a result, 11 of the 15 teams that participated received qualification for the Tournament of Champions at Yale University. Everyone returned with medals and some even with trophies. Some astonishing achievements are the team of Ivy, Phoom, and Donovan placing 24th in Overall Team and 8th in South East Asia in the Junior Division. The team of Pear, Tara and Boon Boon placed 3rd in the Team Writing Junior Division and set a new school record for the event with 8115 points. In the Senior Division the team of Pung Pond, Bomb and Titan placed 26th overall and 14th in South East Asia. Ja Jar and Jackie did an exceptional job receiving the School Top Scholar Award. Every scholar worked very hard throughout the entire competition and all the efforts paid off. Once again this year, our school’s World Scholar’s Cup teams coached by Mr. Tom Wash went to compete at the Bangkok regional round, this time hosted by Brighton College, and came back as one of the best schools at the event. Every team we sent qualified for the Global Round at Beijing, and many came back holding many trophies and medals. These highlights include the team of Pear R., Tara N., and Boonboon P. placing 7th place overall for the junior division and the team of Prima S., Pung-pond G., and Bomb V. placing 2nd place overall in the Senior division, but all of our scholars worked hard throughout the season leading up to the competition and had an amazing time at the event.
